Wills are structured to take care of loved ones,
those who will most miss the times you shared. There is another
important reason for a will-a chance to be
remembered.
A will is a legal document which communicates
your decisions after you have passed on. With a will, you
decide on the disposition of your belongings and who will take care
of any legal matters which may arise.
Without a will, these decisions are usually governed
by state or federal laws. Custody decisions may wind up in court,
friends or family members may be ignored, a stranger may be assigned
to handle the disposition of your estate, and legal fees and taxes
are usually higher.
Organizations you have supported during your
lifetime, like Sacred Hearts Missions, will also miss you. A
will gives you the opportunity to be remembered through special
gifts to charities called bequests. You have the ability to
continue to support the work of over 2,000 priests, brothers, and
sisters around the world by choosing that a portion of your estate
be allocated to the Congregation. You would be amazed at the impact
your gift can have in the hands of our missionaries.
When making out your will, after your family’s needs
are met, won’t you please consider continuing the support that makes
life better for others by designating a gift to the Congregation
of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
