Vocation and Mission of the Congregation
From this consecration our mission
has its origin: to contemplate, live and announce to the world God’s
love which was made flesh in Jesus. The Preaching Ministry has
been one of the foundational
elements of our Congregation from its very inception. In the USA
East Coast Province, we have always had a team of religious brothers
who were involved in preaching retreats for groups and missions for
parishes. This special ministry continues today. As a congregation
dedicated to the Sacred Hearts, our message is to preach the love of
God as seen in the hearts of Jesus and Mary.
As a retreat master, my work has been blessed over the last 15 years
that I have been associated with this ministry, first through the
Sacred Hearts Retreat Center in Wareham, Massachusetts and now
preaching nationally and internationally full time. Through this
ministry, I have
experienced how the word of God can change people’s
lives. I believe what St. Paul wrote, "My message and my
proclamation, were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a
demonstration of spirit and power, so that your faith might rest not
on human wisdom, but on the power of God."
