Installation of Rev.
William F. Petrie, ss.cc., as Provincial
| In keeping with the
deeply rooted spirituality of the Congregation, this installation is
part of a Eucharistic prayer of adoration, in the spirit of
reparative love for the church and world. The ceremony acknowledges
both it's new leadership and expresses a prayer of gratitude for the
abundance of blessings received. It is both appropriate and
our joy that we have representatives from the Diocese of Fall River,
our province's Secular Branch, Enthronement Office, Men of the
Sacred Heart, SS.CC. lay staff, Damien Dutton Foundation,
benefactors, friends and family assembled here today.
Together, we are invited to share in a prayerful God experience, in
gratitude for the bountiful gifts bestowed on the SS.CC. Eastern
U.S. Province, since our arrival in the Diocese of Fall River,
Massachusetts, in 1905. Thank you for your presence and
celebrating with us in thankfulness to God.
