SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEARTS (SSCC)
Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Mother Henriette

Mother Henriette Aymer De La Chevalerie
The Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Sisters sent the first Sisters from France to Hawaii in 1859. The Sisters arrived in Fairhaven, Massachusetts in 1908. The death anniversary of the foundress, MOTHER HENRIETTE AYMER DE LA CHEVALERIE, is on November 23rd. Whenever possible, both the male and female branches of the Congregation join together to celebrate special occasions. In Fairhaven both communities met on November 24th for a Thanksgiving meal.
