Fr. John Biffar was amongst the first missionaries to Japan 59 years
ago. Fr. Nelson De Souza, who is in Japan working with the
Brazilian immigrants, and Fr. Tony Biswas are studying the Japanese
language at the Catholic Mito Parish where Fr. Biffar is Pastor.
In 2009, the USA East Province will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of
the founding of the Japanese mission.
